Soul singer Linda Jones was born on December 14, 1944 and died on March 14, 1972. She was associated with the record producer George Kerr for most of her career and the recordings issued on the Gamble and Huff Neptune label distributed by Chess were George Kerr productions. A diabetic, she died aged only 27 when she slipped into a coma at her mothers’ home.

Her biggest success was “Hypnotised” which was recorded in the mid-60s for the Loma label.
