Robert Von “Bobby” Hebb was born on July 26, 1938 and died on August 3, 2010 from lung cancer. He made one single for Cadet Records, “Woman in the window/I was a boy when you needed a man”. He is best known for his 1966 recording of “Sunny”. Although best known as a soul and R&B singer, he started out as a country music performer, and returned to country music before he died.
