Soul singer and song writer Kiphling Taquana Anderson (Kip Anderson) was born on January 24, 1938 and died on August 29, 2007. He is associated with Sam Cooke, The Drifters, Jerry Butler and Jackie Wilson. His heroin addiction led to a jail sentence in the 1970s/ While in prison he formed a gospel group. On release he made both soul and gospel records. He also worked for a time as a disc jockey. His best known record, about over eating, was recorded at Fame studios.
