Rico and Ronnie

Rico and Ronnie were two ex-members of The Fortunes, a vocal group: Robert Pruter identifies them in his book “Doowop the Chicago Scene” as Rico Jenkins and Ronnie Strong. Jenkins had just returned from military service when “A losing game” was recorded. They also recorded for another label under the name The Starr Brothers. They can be heard as the lead singers on earlier Fortunes records, backing Larry Darnell, issued on Argo.
