Blues and R&B singer/songwriter Little Mack Simmons was born on January 25, 1933 and died on October 24, 2000 of cancer. He made his stage debut with blues singer Robert Nighthawk. His recording career started in 1959, releasing product on a number of labels including Checker. He became the manager of the Chess owned night club, the Zodiac Lounge, in the mid sixties. In the 1970s he left the music business and became a preacher.
