The Tune Weavers | Sheet Music Archive | tc290
The Tune Weavers were a vocal group who formed in 1956 and are mainly known for their recording of “Happy Happy Birthday baby” which was issued in 1957 on Checker, who picked it up for national distribution from a smaller label. The correct name for the group was the Tone Weavers, but their name was mis-heard. They were Margo Sylvia (Lopez) (deceased 1991); Gilbert J. “Gil” Lopez (deceased 1998); John Sylvia and Charlotte Davis. The group split up in 1962 having had no further success. The group was later reformed with some different personnel and is thought to still be performing.
