Saxophonist and vocalist Eugene Fox was born in 1928. After serving in the forces he was playing in a band with Ike Turner, who recorded him at radio station WROX when it had gone off for the day, probably in February 1954. The recording was supervised by DJ John Friskillo. The record “Sinners Dream”, which was highly unusual for the time, was the result. Eugene Fox left the music business and became a teacher, and died on July 11, 2000.
