Jazz tenor saxophonist Claude McLin was born on December 27, 1925 and died on July 21, 1995. After wartime service he played the clubs of Chicago including a Chess owned club, which led to him recording for Aristocrat and Chess, starting in 1949 and including sessions with singer/pianist Laura Rucker. He was not finding sufficient work in Chicago and moved to Los Angeles. He appeared on an Amos Milburn session for Aladdin Records in 1954. He retired from music in the late 1960s.
