James Moody

Jazz musician James Moody was born on March 26, 1925 and died on December 9, 2010 of cancer. He served with the US Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946. He had a long and distinguished career in jazz music, often associated with Dizzy Gillespie and others, and with his wife, established the Moody Scholarship Fund to help young jazz musicians.
