The Rays are a vocal group who are better known for their biggest hit, “Silhouettes”, which was recorded in 1957 for a subsequent company; but they had earlier recorded a few songs for Chess records and were one of the first acts to appear on the Argo label in 1956, with their recording “How long must I wait” (which was also issued on the Chess label). The Rays were Harold (Hal) Miller, Walter Ford, David Jones and Harry James.
