The Wildweeds were a rock group from Hartford, Conn., originally called the Six Packs who were signed to the Cadet label and renamed as The Wildweeds in 1966. The line up was Al Anderson, Andy Lepak, Ray Zeiner, Bob Dudek and Martin “Skip” Yakaitis. They are best known in the UK for their UK Release “Sorrows’ anthem”/”It was fun while it lasted”. The Wildweeds broke up in 1969. Skip Yakaitis died in 1988. Al Anderson is the musician and songwriter who is mainly known for his country music songs and for playing in the group NRBQ.
