Little Johnny Jones was born on November 1, 1924 and died on November 19, 1964. He was an American Chicago blues pianist and singer who worked with Tampa Red, Muddy Waters and Elmore James. He moved to Chicago in 1945 with Little Walter and “Baby Face” Leroy Foster. His Aristocrat recording Big Town Playboy, recorded in 1949, is regarded as a classic of its type.
