Theodore Roosevelt “Hound Dog” Taylor was born on April 12, 1915 (possibly 1917) and died on December 17, 1975 of lung cancer. He moved to Chicago in 1942. He was known for his electrified slide guitar playing similar to that of Elmore James, and his boogie beats. He was also famed among guitar players for having six fingers on his left hand.
