Steve Alaimo is better known as a successful record producer, but in the late 1950s he was working in record distribution as well as singing in a group. In 1961 he signed with Checker records and a number of releases were issued. The most successful was the song “Every day I have to cry”.
By 1965 he was a co-producer on a top US pop music television show.
