The New Zealand Trading Co. were a pop group from New Zealand, comprising Thomas Kini, Eddie Nuku, Kawana Waitere (all understood to be New Zealanders), Neville Turner and Lynn Alvarez (understood to both be Australians). Originally known in New Zealand as the Hi Quins, the group was trying to make a go of it in the US. The group faded into obscurity soon after recording these sessions in Memphis, but there is some further information about the group here.
